Trust & Safety Guidelines

Last updated: July 2026

At 1PercentKind, our commitment to an ecosystem of care means putting dignity, autonomy, and safety first. We believe that intergenerational connection should be a joyful and secure experience for Seniors, Volunteers, and Family Caregivers alike.

To build a trusted community, we have implemented the following core safety pillars:

1. Mandatory Volunteer Verification

We strive to create a safe environment by requiring every Volunteer to pass a verification process before they can connect with Seniors. We use a two-tiered approach:

2. Absolute Call Privacy

Your conversations belong to you. To protect the privacy and intimacy of the connections formed on our platform, 1PercentKind does not record, transcribe, monitor, or listen to user calls. Furthermore, our Terms of Service strictly prohibit any user from recording a call without the explicit consent of all participants.

3. Senior Autonomy & Mutual Consent

Seniors maintain complete control over their experience.

4. Zero Tolerance for Exploitation

1PercentKind is a space for companionship and peer support. We strictly prohibit the solicitation of money, gifts, or sensitive financial information. If a user makes you feel uncomfortable, we encourage you to end the call immediately and report the user to our support team. We reserve the right to remove any user who violates our community standards.

5. Not a Substitute for Medical Care

While social connection is vital for well-being, 1PercentKind is a peer-to-peer social platform, not a healthcare provider. Our Volunteers offer friendly conversation, not medical advice, clinical therapy, or emergency services. If you are experiencing a medical or psychological emergency, please dial 911.
